Before the 80s, Taiwan's creation was mainly based on commemorative copper, wood carving statues, animal clay sculptures, and realistic sculptures. In fact, the idea of original art sculpture spread to Taiwan in large numbers, and the trend of integration with the world gradually took shape, coupled with the fact that European and American artists returned to China led Taiwan with modern concepts, they not only tried to integrate the theory of oriental consciousness with land and life sculpture in addition to innovative forms, and finally developed Taiwan's 80s oriental abstract sculpture featuring sentimental abstract sculpture. In the auction of this batch of artworks, Lai Chi Man is quite iconic. The artist, who was born in Hong Kong, studied in Taiwan, lived and created in Europe and the United States, has an oriental cultivation and is also familiar with artistic expressions, so he once said in his Western creator Lai Chi Man that he likes to arrange the two differences together to produce new concepts and images, so the contradictory relationship creates tension when used in Eastern languages, such as: "existence and non-existence", "similarity and difference", ", when the viewer carves and touches the natural texture and people, the "relationship" between the two is both rigidity and softness in Lai Zhiwen's works, The connotations of the individual and reality, nature and man can all be extended to live in this series of modern relationships, telling the story of Lai Chi Man's sculptures, these ancient oriental wisdom mastered the modern way of fishing in the Hamburg living space.
